The moment had finally arrived, our final ride on what has been a wonderful cycling tour with a fantastic group of people. We have made some friends that will last a lifetime and shared experiences that will stay with us forever. I am so proud of the tour and each member of our new "family", thank you all so much for making it such a positive and memorable time.
Today our group split, some opting for Sella Ronda loop (with the added surprise of the passo Valparoloa), others took on one of Italy's toughest climbs, the passo Fedaia, as part of a 65km loop that included the passo Pordoi, from Canazei.
Both groups again did themselves proud, racking up challenging kms with amazing views and one last handful of climbing metres. It has been an extraordinary tour with the finest type of "top shelf" company. All will be a little sad to say goodbye tomorrow and all are richer for the experience. Thank you so much for your support, enthusiasm and fantastic company during this epic three weeks, I am one proud and happy man.
